Giuliani Gets Swift-Boated, pt. 2
The hits keep on coming, for Giuliani. A couple of months ago, a group of NYC firefighters blasted Rudy for not providing them with proper equipment, causing excess deaths of firefighters on 9/11. Now, a new film critically examines Rudy's 9/11 record.
The videos attack Giuliani by saying he failed to prepare New York City for a major disaster, he ignored sick ground zero workers after the terrorist attack and he profited financially from his association with the tragedy after leaving office in 2001.So far, Rudy's teflon-like ability to deflect criticism on any and all issues by relying on his True American Hero status has served him well. But if his 9/11 cred begins to erode, it will be difficult for him to sustain any political momentum. At least, that's what I'm hoping."We want to use this forum to reach people and show and tell and say, 'Look here are some truths that we want you to know,'" Greenwald told The Associated Press. The video blitz has an accompanying web site, therealrudy.org.
